West Bengal Police on Thursday arrested two Turkey nationals from Kolkata for allegedly being involved in ATM hacking. The Assam Police had earlier issued lookout notices against both of them.
The arrested hackers were identified as Hakan Zamburkan and Fettah Aldemir. According to reports, based on an input from Tripura Police, the WB Police launched a search operation to nab both the hackers. They were involved in stealing millions of rupees from the bank account holders of Assam and Tripura by using ATM hacking device.
After primary investigation, both Zamburkan and Aldemir admitted that they have entered India through Bangladesh. The WB Police also arrested two Bangladeshi nationals along with them.
Meanwhile, a team of Assam Police will head for Kolkata to get the custody of Zamburkan and Aldemir.
It may be mentioned here that earlier the Assam Police had arrested another two Turkey nationals from Mumbai in September this year.
