The Election Commission has set up 60 all women polling stations in four assembly constituencies of the Guwahati parliamentary constituency. At these special booths, the presiding officers, polling officers, micro observers and security personnel are all women.
Among the these special 60, 12 of them have been set up as model polling booths, which are – Pandu College right wing, Pandu College middle wing, Beltola College right wing, Beltola College east wing, Deshbhakta Tarunram Phukon Indoor Stadium right wing, Deshbhakta Tarunram Phukon Indoor Stadium left wing, Nehru Stadium Complex left wing, Ambari Nabayog LP School right wing, Ambari Nabayog LP School left wing, South Point Montessori School right wing and South Point Montessori School left wing.
The number of the centres are 141, 142, 219, 220, 107, 108, 121, 122, 230 232, 241 and 242.
