In the wake of heavy rains causing flood and landslide in various parts of the region, communication between Lumding and Silchar has been disrupted.
There have been reports of landslides in various parts of the road connecting Lumding and Silchar.
Railways and roadways have been completely blocked.
Due to landslides in Phaiding, Mahur, New Haflong and Jatinga, movement of trains have been blocked in the region.
Trains on the Lumding-Silchar route have been partially cancelled. Several trains will not proceed beyond Lumding and will to return to Guwahati.
55615 Passenger Special to return from Lumding, Down 55616 Passenger Special has been cancelled and Up Kanchenjunga Express to only travel till Lumding.
