The team of all-party representatives had visited Golaghat on Friday to investigate the country's worst hooch tragedy, in which more than 170 people lost their lives after drinking poisonous hooch in Jorhat and Golaghat.
The Upper Assam Commissioner, Julie Sonowal is undertaking a rigorous public hearing since 10:00 am in the morning at Golaghat's Circuit House. The hearing continued till 3:00 pm and different organizations, as well as the victim's family members had visited the commissioner to register their statement.
The team has been appointed by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to investigate the matter further.
