In an interesting development, leading Assamese actor Jatin Bora today reiterated his allegiance to BJP.
In a press meet, Bora said that he was with BJP, is with BJP, and will always be with BJP.
Regretting over his decision to quit the party during the anti-CAA protests, he sought apology for his action from all BJP committees. He added that the atmosphere during the protests was quite singular and that he was sorry for his emotional decision.
He also informed about the government's decision to provide financial assistance of Rupees 2000 for 3 months to the artists affected by the lockdown.
The actor also alleged that certain sections, as a result of the anti-CAA protests, are trying to form a political party for the upcoming elections.
