Guwahati police commissioner Deepak Kumar on Tuesday straight away refuted news reports claiming Assam youths being forcibly inducted into ISIS.

"These reports are false and do not have an iota of truth," Deepak Kumar said.

It may be mentioned herethat on Tuesday morning reports surfaced in media where it was said that a Garigaonyouth Suraj Jamal was forcibly inducted into ISIS. This was told by Jamalhimself in a frantic call made from Jammu & Kashmir to his family.

"We are in touch with Jammu & Kashmir police and we will rescue Jamal soon," the Commissioner further said adding that he was taken to the state for work purpose only.

On claims made by Jamal's family that Jalukbari police demanded money from them, Kumar said that guilty police personnel will not be spared.

Suruj Jamal on June 14 left for Delhi in search of a job along with one person identified as Papu hailing from Rangia.

However, on Tuesday Jamal called his family and said that around 25 youths from Assam were being escorted by men in CRPF uniform and taken to some undisclosed location.

He also said that they were made to travel through jungles and their requests to stop the bus went unheard.
