Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal &Union MoS for Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju on Saturday launched the compositelogo, mascot, jersey and theme song of 3rd Khelo India Youth Games, 2020 inGuwahati.
After Delhi (2018) and Pune (2019), Guwahati is going to be the proud host of the third edition of Khelo India Youth Games to be held in January next year. In a bid to enhance people's participation in hosting the Games, the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt of Assam, had organized a Composite Logo Design competition.
The design of the jersey encapsulates and celebratesthe rich heritage of Assam. It was unveiled by Kiren Rijiju, CM Sonowal, HimaDas, Lovlina Borgohain and Swapna Barman.
The Khelo India programme was introduced to revivethe sports culture in India at grassroots level by building a strong frameworkfor all sports played in our country and establish India as a great sportingnation.
