KJo apologies for ‘hurting’ Northeast sentiments

Bollywood director Karan Johar, who was roasted online by the internet users for "insulting" and "hurting" the sentiments of the Northeastern people, has apologised for the same.

"You are absolutely right and I would like to apologise if I have hurt any sentiments…..it was purely unintentional and came from a place of no knowledge which is absolutely no excuse….am extremely sensitive to the different cultures of our land and I am very sorry…." KJo tweeted on Wednesday.

Recently in a programme named India's Got Talent, airing on Colors, judges Kirron Kher and Karan Johar were gifted an Arunachali Headgear and an Assamese Jaapi respectively. The later posted a video of them in Instagram talking about their gifts.

However, Kirron wore the headgear but Karan apparently 'did not have the guts' to wear it. This move of one of Bollywood's known names has hurt the sentiments of people of Northeast.

Meanwhile, Johar also deleted the video from his intagram.
