Boxing promotions company IOS Sports has announced the signing of five World Championship medallist boxers – Lovlina Borgohain, Jamuna Boro, Gaurav Bidhuri, Simranjit Kaur, and Manju Rani.
IOS has had a long relationship with the country's only Olympic medallist boxers Vijender Singh and MC Mary Kom and is also instrumental in promoting professional boxing into India.IOS Sports & Entertainment has announced the signing of five World Championship medallists to look after their endorsements and commercial interest.
The 22-year-old tall and lanky boxer Lovlina Borgohain whohails from Golaghat district of Assam has recently won her second consecutivebronze medal at the World Women Boxing Championship 2019 in the welterweightcategory (69 kg). Earlier in August this year, she also won a gold medal at theUmakhanov Memorial Boxing Tournament. Lovlina who got her career's biggestbreak in Commonwealth Games 2018 won her first World Championship medal in thesame year and is also the bronze medallist of Asian Championship 2017. Thetalented boxer has now set her eyes on Tokyo 2020 Olympics and is training hardfor the upcoming Qualifiers to be held in February next year.
Assam's Jamuna Boro is another boxer signed by IOS, she competesin the Bantamweight category. Jamuna's recent performances have been remarkableas she clinched a bronze medal in the World Boxing Championship 2019 and a goldmedal in the 23rd Presidents Cup 2019, Indonesia prior to that.
