Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are the top states which have created formal sector jobs during September 2017 to September 2018, shows the Employment outlook report of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).
As per reports, the three states generate employment opportunities for youngsters who are 25 years or less old.
Education, iron and steel, computer related jobs, hospitals, finance institutions were all among the sectors and establishments that were among the top 10 in the EPFO pay roll data. Among the 35 year and above category, Delhi was one of the most attractive places for new employment generation.
A state‐wise comparison showed that the top three states having the highest number of new subscribers were Maharashtra, which accounted for over 25% of new subscribers who had enrolled themselves in the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), followed by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, taking away nearly 45% of the net new payrolls.
