Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress calling them “the birds of the same feather”.
She accused both of the parties of being “birds of the same feather” who betray people, despite such eradicate poverty slogans which comes to nothing after the votes are over. They betraying the interests of the poor, labourers, farmers and others,” Mayawati tweeted.
Mayawati slammed BJP and Congress on Twitter on the following points:
- A bluff announcement’: Arun Jaitley slams Rahul Gandhi’s minimum income guarantee
“Ruling BJP calling Congress slogan of Garibi Hatao 2.0 as bluff is true. The BSP chief’s tweet comes two days after Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s Nyaya scheme, which provided a minimum income of Rs 72,000 per year to the poorest 20 per cent of the households in the country if his party is voted to power, was a “bluff announcement”.”The amount promised by the congress is less than two-thirds of the existing Direct Benefit Transfer under Modi Government, which averages Rs 1.068 lakh annually. So what is being claimed by the congress Party-a bluff announcement,” Jaitley said in a Facebook post.
- Mayawati attacks Centre over demonetization, seeks apology from BJP for its ‘economic emergency’
Mayawati had also attacked the Union government for its ‘half-baked’ demonetisation policy and sought an apology from the BJP for the “economic urgency” which compelled “rural masses to work as labourers”.
Mayawati tweeted, “Capitalists & super-rich may not have (been) affected much from the economic emergency of half-baked ‘notebandi’ but rural masses which is real India had (been) affected by it worst. People were forced to return to their villages and work as daily wagers for survival. Will the BJP apologise?”
