Meghalaya on high-alert

Meghalaya Government has issued alert across the state due to heavy downpour within a span of 24 hours, which has disrupted normal life. Flash floods and landslide has put life in a standstill in the northeastern state.

According to reports, there has been 72.2 mm rain in the last 24 hours.

Areas including Shillong, Jaintia Hills, and Garo Hills are reeling under the atrocities of incessant rains.

Reports of landslides near the AG office and Malki in Shillong have also come in.

The state government has urged the people to stay indoors.
