NBSS To Stage Protest Against Linguistic Abuse in BTAD
The Non-Bodo Suraksha Samiti has announced serial agitation from September 3 (Tuesday) in protest against linguistic abuse saying that there has been a massive conspiracy against the Assamese language in the BTAD.
The Non-Bodo Suraksha Samiti alleged that the Assamese language is on the verge of extinction in the BTAD area and that only Bodo language has been preferred in the postal department job.
It has also been instructed that the certificates would be provided only in Bodo language.
The Samiti demands that both Assamese and Bodo language should be made compulsory in schools, offices etc. and also demanded Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to intervene into the issue.
They also stated that the government should make it clear as what is the government language in the BTAD alleging that the Assamese have also been forced to learn Bodo.
