Assam Government has relaxed rules in regard of the NRC verificationprocess and from now onwards, one do not have to go out of the districts for attendingclaims and objection hearing.
There has been huge problem as people use to get noticesasking them to travel long distances outside the districts. That has beensorted out and an advertisement was today put out by the Home and PoliticalDepartment of Assam Government announcing that henceforth the people need nothave to cross border.
Further those who had already gone to other districts tosubmit documents of claims but have notbeen able to finish Bio-Metric requirements, they also do not have to go outsidethe district and can do the process inside the district.
The authorities are under attack for sending lakhs of peoplefrom all over the ground costing time, energy and money when the same can be organizedwithin the district.
