The Guwahati Senior Citizens' Association (GSCA) by a resolution unanimously conferred the title 'Nyay Ratna' on Justice Ranjan Gogoi in recognition of his distinguished service in general and especially for resolving the long dispute spanning over 134 years concerning the Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid.
Presiding over the meeting, senior journalist DNChakravartty urged the state government to take further proceedings forconferring Bharat Ratna on CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
The meeting was held at Pensioners' Bhawan in Guwahati onSaturday, the GSCA complimented just-retired Chief Justice of India RanjanGogoi in recognition of his most distinguished services for the honour and gloryof Indian judiciary.
