A major rift in Assam Pradesh Congress has been reported after the latest defeat of the party in the recently held assembly by-elections in the State. Meanwhile, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has issued a notice in regard to media/press interviews.
The advisory says, only APCC notified senior spokesperson,spokesperson and media panelists can address the media and represent the partyin discussions in various media houses only with prior intimation to theHon'ble President, APCC or Chairman, Media Deptt of APCC.
Except them, no Congress Party functionaries or any leaderof the Party shall speak before the press or give TV Bytes or participate inmedia as a panelist; the advisory added.
