Modi meets POTUS, Japanese PM ahead G-20


Ahead the formal beginning of the G-20 Summit, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump and Japan-America-India trilateral talks with Trump and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe in Osaka today.

In the bilateral meeting, Modi and Trump discussed key issues such as trade, defence and 5G communications networks.

During the meet, Trump also congratulated Modi on his second tenure following the massive victory in the Lok Sabha election. POTUS is also hopeful of the two countries working together in many areas including military.

Before the bilateral talks, the duo also attended the Japan-America-India trilateral meeting.

During the trilateral meet, Modi highlighted the importance India attaches to the group.
