A constable of Assam Police displayed a placard in front of Assam Secretariat on Saturday protesting against the state police department. The constable has been identified as Rinku Gogoi from 39 no battalion.
He wrote "Hon'ble CM of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal…"
In the placard, he wrote that he faced mental and physical harassment from senior officials and sent a letter to CMO Assam (Chief Minister's office) on April 29 this year asking investigation on it. However, no steps had been taken in this regard.
Gogoi hadn't disclosed the incident in the placard. He just wanted to meet CM Sonowal by any means: as per reports.
