Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Ram Madhav today claimed that the BJP will break the Congress’s record of longest run at power at the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ram Madhav claimed that the BJP would continue to be in power till 2047 when India would be celebrating 100 years of independence.
Madhav while quoted by a news agency said that the BJP government under Narendra Modi ji’s stewardship will go a long way. He said, “We are confident that the party will still be in power in 2047 when the country will celebrate the centenary year of independence.”
Madhav’s claim is similar to what Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in September 2018. Amit Shah while addressing the party leaders at the national executive meeting in New Delhi last year said that if the BJP wins in 2019 Lok Sabha election no one can throw out the party in the next 50 years.
Ram Madhav after claiming that BJP will be in power till 1947 said that nationalism is in BJP’s DNA rejecting the charge that the BJP used military achievements to win 2019 Lok Sabha election.
Earlier in March this year, BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj claimed that there would be no election if the BJP won 2019 Lok Sabha election.
