Sarania to form new political party

Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania on Tuesday said that he will launch a new political party in October. The MP said that a larger number of Bodo people will be joining his party. He said that ahead of forming the political party, he will form a non-political organisation, called BTAD Army in September.

Addressing the media on Tuesday after the attack on his convoy in Pathsala last evening, MP Sarania said, “I will form a new organisation, to be called the BTAD Army in September. It won’t be armed organisation, however, it would possess the capabilities to prevent any unwanted attack.” He added, “The attack on my convoy at Pathsala was pre-planned. As I have been continuously voicing against the prevailing corruptions in BTAD, they have targeted me.”

Sarania further said that Bodo people have expressed their willingness to join his political party. “We will contest in all the 40 seats in the coming BTC elections and I am confident that we will win as many as 35 seats. BPF will be finished,” said Sarania.
