The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will observe a 'Seva Saptah' (service week) starting from today, September 14 to 20 for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17.
On this occasion, Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has donated blood in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), this morning and said blood donation is a great service to society. He congratulated those who donate blood.
Sarma pitched for raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and asked young generation to take lead in this.
