Bhangagarh Police, acting on a tip off, launched an operation on Thursday night in Guwahati. Aathgaon, Noonmati are among the places that was a part of the operation at night. The city police also launched an operation in Kokrajhar.
During the operation, 113 mobile phones and three laptops have been seized.
Police have arrested six thieves in context of the operation.
The arrested have been identified as Krishnai Rai, Zanik Ali, Satmidhan Paswan, Nurul Islam, Hazrat Haque Ali and Aminur Haque Mandal.
Police has informed that more action will be taken in the following days.
