The Advertising Club Guwahati initiates ‘SPEAKER SERIES’

The Advertising Club, Guwahati intends to organise a special programme titled 'SPEAKER SERIES' with an aim to invite emerging stories, campaign creators, industry professionals, from Advertising and Media fraternity to Guwahati for an interactive session with Ad Club members and their guests. Malavika R Harita, Pratik Gupta and Rajat Sethi will be amongst the speakers of 'SPEAKER SERIES', which is scheduled on Wednesday 10th April 2019 at Kiranshree Portico, Guwahati.

Malavika R Harita:

Malavika was one of the first Gurukul Chevening Scholars, selected by the British Government for a special program under Lord Meghnad Desai at the London School of Economics on Globalization. Malavika is the first woman to win the Distinguished Alumni Award from IIM Bangalore. She also served as the president of the IIMB Alumni Association and the Advertising Club Bangalore. Malavika teaches Marketing and Communication at various post graduate institutes of management and communication in India. She has been doing this for the last 25 years because she believes that sharing knowledge is the only way to learn.

She is on the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Vishakapatnam, on the Governing Council of Mount Carmel College and on the Advisory Board of the NSRCEL of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She is passionate about the power of communication, storytelling and digital marketing, teaching mentoring start-ups and empowering women.

Pratik Gupta:

Pratik Gupta, the Co-founder of FoxyMoron (a leading digital marketing and media solutions agency), was ranked 50 in the Top 100 of the Digital World for 2012 and ranked 70 in 2013 by IMPACT Magazine. He is a management graduate from Mumbai University.

Prior to FoxyMoron, Pratik worked at Balaji Telefilms Pvt. Ltd. as a Business Development Executive, creating new concepts for potential business opportunities. He has also worked with Castrol India Ltd. where his role included researching market data with regard to the consumption patterns of various vendors that Castrol dealt with.

Pratik's primary role at FoxyMoron is to look after new business acquisition, strategic alliances and reinforcing the current client roster. This includes bringing the best of digital services to potential and existing clients through creative ideation, effective execution and management of resources.

Rajat Sethi:

Rajat Sethi is the Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister of Manipur advising him on the topics of national security and governance. He works closely with India's ruling party, the BJP, towards impacting the politics in various North-eastern states of India.

Earlier, he served as the Advisor to Jharkhand Chief Minister on various issues like trade and investments. Prior to that Rajat served as Senior Fellow at India Foundation focusing on economic and international trade affairs.

He is a public policy graduate from Harvard University and a management graduate from MIT Sloan School. He is also an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur with a Dual Degree (BTech & MTech in Computer Science & Engg). He has co-authored a book titled The Last Battle of Saraighat chronicling the rise of BJP in the Northeast.
