The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Monday evening called a meeting at Phani Bhushan Choudhury’s govt. residence to finalize the party’s stand over AGP-BJP coalition.
According to sources, leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta had left the meeting midway.
“We have the ability to fight alone. No decision had been taken yet on the alliance with BJP.”- PK Mahanta said.
As per reports, the meeting remained inconclusive; it gave broad hints about the possibility of reaching an understanding of seat sharing in the Parliamentary elections.
It may be mentioned that, amidst the uncertainty, the AGP leadership on Sunday declared a list of probable candidates in 13 of the state’s 14 Parliamentary seats.
