A female police officer was robbed of Rs 10 lakh in broad daylight in Guwahati's Kahilipara area on Friday.

As per sources, the incident happened at a petrol depot when the bike-borne miscreants snatched the bag filled with money from the female police officer and sped away.

She had withdrawn the money from a nearby bank moments ago. It is suspected that the miscreants had been stalking her and then hatched a plan to rob her.

Last month, a similar incident took place when some miscreants looted Rs 5 lakh cash by breaking the glass of a Duster vehicle parked outside a mall in Guwahati. He had also withdrawn the money from a nearby bank just moments ago.
