Pratidin Bureau

One after another political leader is leaving Indian National Congress party.

This time it's Congress candidate Dr. Juri Sarma Bordoloi, who has left the INC after Mariani MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi.

As per sources, the Congress female leader has expressed deep anger against the party leadership saying that it has now become an abode of fake promises.

Dr. Juri further added that the Congress Party is in deep dilemma regarding the CAA issue as well.

"People do not want Rahul Gandhi as their leader. We lost the last election for this very reason," said Juri Sarma.

While addressing the people regarding the concerned issue, the Congress leader also added that many other skilled and deserving leaders had left the party.

And sadly, the high command of the Congress Party has been neglecting the issue, she added.

Earlier on Friday, four-time Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi tendered his resignation from the party. He has also resigned from his membership in the Assam Legislative Assembly. He tendered his resignation letter to Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary.

Rupjyoti Kurmi, who was an MLA of Mariani constituency said he's leaving the Congress because the party leadership ignores the voice of young leaders. He also targeted party leader Rahul Gandhi.
