Good news for TET teachers!

Goodnews for Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) qualified teachers as StateEducation Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Tuesday announced to extend thevalidity of their certificates.

Participatingon Pratidin Time's Abhimat, Minister Bhattacharya also said that the TETqualified teachers need not have to reappear in TET examinations. "We havealready initiated process to extend the validity of their certificates and wesent letters to the Central government regarding the matter," said theMinister.

He further said that the transfer process of the TET qualified teachers will once again begin in the State.

It may be mentioned here that the education minister in a recent radio interview had said that like the drivers renew their license time-to-time to keep the validity going, the teachers will also have to do something similar with their TET certificates in order to continue teaching. Upset over the statement, Assam TET teachers have been protesting in the State.
