The Gauhati High Court has given a verdict that the four lane National Highway in Dergaon could be constructed via Dergaon town in Golaghat district.
Meanwhile, earlier 67 persons have opposed the construction of four lane national highway through the Dergaon town and filed a petition at the Gauhati High Court in 2014 demanding to withdraw the decision to construct the highway via Dergaon town. But the High Court has given a verdict that the national highway can be constructed.
Afterthe high court has given its verdict, the master plan of Dergaon has also beenprepared, said Advocate Tarun Chandra Chutia.
