Guwahati: Man Arrested for Murder of E-rickshaw Driver in Hengrabari

One person has been arrested in connection to the murder of an e-rickshaw driver in Guwahati’s Hengrabari.

According to reports, the arrested person has been identified as Tileswar, who is also an e-rickshaw driver.

The deceased person has been identified as Khagen Das, a resident of Nalbari district.

Sources revealed that earlier this morning, a scuffle erupted between Tileswar and a woman. When Das tried to end the fight, Tileswar resorted to attacking him. He allegedly stabbed Das multiple times which ultimately led to his death.

The incident occurred near the LP school in Hengerabari area. After passersby witnessed the lifeless body lying in a pool of blood, the police was informed immedialtely.

Upon receiving information, the Dispur police reached the scene and recovered the body for post mortem.

Tileswar had reportedly confessed about the murder, after which he was arrested by the police.
