AASU delegation meets JDU leader to oppose CAB

A delegation of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Wednesday met JDU leader KC Tyagi in New Delhi to oppose Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, in their election manifesto for the LS polls.

The delegation led by AASU advisor Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya met the Rajya Sabha member and asked him to oppose the CAB in their election manifesto. Notably JDU is likely to release its manifesto on April 14.

Meanwhile, KC Tyagi assured the AASU members that they will include the issue of CAB in their manifesto and would oppose the Bill. "BJP's agenda and NDA's agenda are different," said Tyagi.

On the other hand, after meeting Tyagi, Samujjal Bhattacharya said, "We have started a campaign opposing the CAB." AASU Dipanka Nath thanked JDU chief Nitish Kumar for his party's stand on the CAB.
