The meeting, held in the presence of BTR Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro and senior state government officials, focused on several core demands. Chief among them was the implementation of the BTR Accord clause by clause before 2026. The delegation also reiterated the long-standing demand for the release of NDFB founder Ranjan Daimary and all remaining cadres, along with the withdrawal of all pending cases against them.

The ABSU further demanded the provincialisation of all schools within the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to ensure permanent job security for teaching and non-teaching staff.

According to reports, the state government has assured that all remaining clauses of the Accord would be implemented over the next six months. The discussion was described as cordial and positive by those present.

However, ABSU cautioned that if the accord is not implemented in both letter and spirit, the organisation would be forced to launch strong democratic protests in the coming days.

The Union also called for unity between the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL). “If both parties come together, the Bodo community will benefit greatly. But as of now, no formal discussion has taken place,” the student leaders said.
