Assam: Another 7 Succumb to COVID-19

Assam on Monday reported seven deaths of COVID-19, informed state Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle. The death toll due to the novel coronavirus pandemic in the state climbed to 86.

The deceased have been identified as Tulsi Prasad Deuri (59) from Jorhat, Joy Singh Bey (59) from East K Anglong,  Mevina Begum (26) from Kamrup (M), Dr GMS Chowdhury (72) from Dibrugarh, Ajoy Mahato (35), Puspa Roy (75) & Dinesh Chandra Das (50) from Tinsukia.

Seven people, Tulsi Prasad Deuri (59) from Jorhat, Joy Singh Bey (59) from East K Anglong, Mevina Begum (26) from Kamrup (M), Dr GMS Chowdhury (72) from Dibrugarh, Ajoy Mahato (35), Puspa Roy (75) & Dinesh Chandra Das (50) from Tinsukia sucummed to #COVID.

Meanwhile, Assam has seen a huge spike in the number of positive cases which crossed 30000 marks. A total of 32228 cases have been registered so far with 8103 active cases.
