Notably, Guwahati has been the worst affected in the disease and the health department has said that community transmission started in Kamrup (M).
The Kamrup (M) district administration has extended the lockdown for another week from July 13-19 in order to prevent any further spread of the disease with some relaxations like the house to house sale of fish/meat, e-commerce activities, selling of vegetables, the opening of grocery shops etc from Monday to Friday during a stipulated time period.
