A new series based on a story of a girl in the Northeast region of India – 'Nima Denzongpa' – is slated to be aired on Colors TV soon.

The lead role will be played by Assamese girl Surabhi Das, a debutant in Indian television. Previously, she was seen in the Assamese serial 'Parineeta'.
The series will be aired on the channel as well as on the over-the-top (OTT) platform Voot.
The promo of the show depicts how she suffers racial discrimination and difficulties after she moves to Mumbai from Sikkim with her partner.
Taking to Instagram, Surabhi Das talked a little about her upcoming series and also shared the promo.

"The story of Nima is not only close to my heart but it is something that I have lived and experienced at some point in my life.
