CWC Bulletin predicts high rainfall in the West and Middle Assam districts on May 4 and 5. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel are placed in 40 locations of the state and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been reached for pre-position in 6 locations (Cachar, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Sonitpur, Tinsukia and Jorhat districts).
NDRF Battalion is already stationed in Dhemaji and Patgaon of Guwahati.
ASDMA has put in high alert in the district Control Rooms with Toll Free No 1077 and State Control Room with Toll Free Nos 1070 and 1079 with round the clock operations.

Further,the Govt of Assam has directed all the Deputy Commissioners and concernedagencies to stay alert and take all necessary measures for mitigation of anyincidents arising out of cyclone "Fani".
