Updated on

The temporary cleaner of Sarusajai COVID Center has staged a protest demanding to pay the wages. 27 cleaning staff who worked day and night at Sarusajai during this hour of crisis alleged that they have not been paid for 3-4 months by the government.

The workers alleged that they were brought to work in Sarusajai by one contractor Akbar Hussain. Although the workers have informed the concerned official and the health ministry regarding the non-payment of salary, the department has not taken any initiative for which they are still deprived from getting their wages.

The cleaners also informed that they have also not been allotted any separate rooms to stay rather they have been asked to share the same room with the people living in quarantine.
