COVID-19: Assam’s Recovery Rate Improves To 85.37%

Assam recorded 642 active coronavirus cases out of 23129 tests conducted on Saturday while 818 cured patients were discharged. The recovery rate of the state has improved to 85.37 per cent.

There has been a consistent rise in the number of recoveries made in the state with over 1.7 lakh cured cases.

The active caseload of the state is 14.19 per cent with 28442 cases. Out of the new cases 149 were reported from Kamrup (M).

Meanwhile, 12 more deaths due to COVID-19 were reported last night, taking the death tally to 865. However, the state's death toll rate is 0.4 per cent.

Despite a gradual decrease in the coronavirus positive cases, the cumulative tally of the state has crossed two lakhs with 200391 cases.
