Covid calculus: Assam clocks 71% recovery rate

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that as many as 5,088 COVID-19 patients have been cured so far, bringing the recovery rate up to 71%.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that as many as 5,088 COVID-19 patients have been cured so far, bringing the recovery rate up to 71%.

The number of samples being tested every day also continues to grow. The total number of samples tested thus far is 3,85,299, the Minister stated.

With 11 fatalities and 3 migrations, the total number of active cases in Assam now stands at 2,063.

"Our teams continue to painstakingly carry out #COVID19 testing to ensure targeted tracing. Today about 10,000+ tests were conducted, taking the total to 385,299. We thank you for your continued cooperation." Sarma wrote on Twitter.
