Cow laden truck Seized in Kaliabor

The cattle syndicate in Assam is rising at an alarming rate, and one case of cow smuggling is reported every day in the state although the police and administrations are strictly monitoring the incidents of cattle smuggling.

In an operation launched by Kaliabor police on Sunday night, 14 trucks carrying cows have been seized at Kaliabor. The trucks have been seized during the time when it was carrying the cows to lower Assam from Sivasagar.

Atotal of 247 cows have been seized along with the trucks and 31 persons havebeen apprehended involved in the cattle smuggling.
