Ex-Army Gives Death Threat to Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been given a death threat in social media by an ex-Army official Tirtha Chaliha.

Chaliha also threatened to kill the minister's children.

According to the social media posts of Chaliha, his wife and family members have been threatened by Bihpuria Police. He also said that if his family would be harmed by anyone, the Bihpuria police will be responsible for it.

Further a post said that, Chaliha also knows the history of the Officer-in-charge of the Bihpuria police station saying that he has been transferred to Bihpuria after he was proved of taking bribe.

Later, Chaliha was arrested from the Satgaon area in Guwahati by the Crime Branch.
