Guwahati: Foreign liquor, tobacco seized

During a search operation in Noonmati on Saturday night, Guwahati city police officials seized a huge amount of foreign liquor, cigarettes, and tobacco.

The consignment was recovered from house number 11 at Shiv path in byelane number 2 of Gopal Nagar in the Noonmati area of Guwahati. A vehicle with number plate AS01 DP 7647 was also seized.

One Amit Kalita was arrested in this connection who was involved in the illegal transaction of selling foreign liquor.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Nilotpal Deka led the team who conducted the search operation.
