Guwahati on Tuesday reported 380 new cases of COVID-19, informed state Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.
Out of the 572 cases detected on Tuesday, 380 cases are from Guwahati alone. The minister in his tweet said, "Alert ~ 572 new #COVID19+ cases detected today. Today, 380 cases were reported in Guwahati City alone, and need for caution can't be overemphasized."

The Kamrup (M) district administration has also imposed 14 days lockdown in Guwahati due to the rising cases of COVID-19. The government suspected of community transmission for which the decision of lockdown has been taken by the administration.
