Himanta Gets ‘Z’ Security Across Country

Ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections, the Union Home Ministry has reviewed the Z category security for Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has now been increased for the whole country.

Earlier, Sarma's Z category security was limited to Assam only. The Ministry has taken this decision based on the Threat Perception Report of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the country's internal intelligence agency, Zee News reported.
