Lakhimpur woman dies of COVID-19

The first death due to coronavirus infection has been recorded on Thursday in the North Lakhimpur district of Assam.

A 76-year-old woman named Hemprabha Gogoi from Milannagar in Lakhimpur passed away at East Lakhimpur Civil Hospital. The deceased was admitted to the hospital today after suffering from fever and cold.

She was tested positive for COVID-19 after declaration of her death.
