In an unfortunate incident, martyr of Assam Agitation Baijanti Devi's family member has been left out of National Register of Citizens' (NRC).
Devi's brother Rajen Upadhyay's wife and his two sons name have been left out of NRC as she has been listed as D-Voter. Being listed as D-Voter, her two sons names have also been dropped from NRC along with their mother.
When more than one lakh names have been dropped from the additional draft list of National Register of Citizens' published on Wednesday, it is unfortunate that Devi who has been martyred in Assam Agitation, her family members name has been excluded from the list.
