Massive fire breaks out in Kahilipara

A massive fire broke out at Guwahati's Kahilipara on Tuesday. Around 3 people are suspected to sustain severe burn injuries and around 30 houses have been damaged in the devastating fire rendering more than 50 families shelter less at 4th APBn

The fire that broke out in the evening hours expanded  fast and engulfed a large number of houses. The local residents  tried to control the fire but dozens of houses were reduced to ashes by the time fire tenders reached the spot.

As per reports, the fire broke out due to bursting of a household cylinder.

Several  fire tenders of  Assam State Fire Service are still trying to douse the inferno.
