New Guwahati Treasury Officer suspended

The State government has suspended the treasury officer of the New Guwahati treasury Tabzul Hussain on charges of allegedly sharing his official user ID and password with an unauthorized person for approving bills and cheques.

The suspension order further stated that Tabzul Hussain did not monitor the status of payment regularly in the system which had attributed to non-payment of bills submitted by the social welfare department in respect of Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme for the year 2018-19.
