A manager of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) was arrested on Friday for allegedly sexually harassing a junior employee.
Nihar Prasad Sharma, the Deputy General Manager (DGM) of the Instrumentation Department in NRL was absconding since a case was filed by the complainant. He was arrested in Guwahati today.
As per reports, Sharma had lured the junior employee to his residence, intoxicated her and allegedly sexually harassed her.
Later, the victim woman filed a complaint of sexual harassment against Sharma in Numaligarh.
Sharma however denied the allegations leveled against him saying that "some personal biases are there".
