After the infamous cash-for-jobscam, another scam has come to light in the Assam Public Service Commission(APSC). Margherita circle officer Monsoon Borkakoti still continuing her jobdespite securing it through fake caste certificate.
Monsoon's father Shantanu Borkakoti, a government doctor, belongs to general caste; revealed documents in the State health department. However, she provided an OBC certificate while applying for APSC jobs.
It may be mentioned here thatMonsoon's caste certificate was found to be fake in 2018, but she is stillcontinuing her duties as a circle officer in Margherita.
Meanwhile, Moriani MLA RupjyotiKurmi wrote a letter to Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal questioning Monsoon's rightto continue her duties.
