One person killed in suspicion of being a witch

In a shocking incident of 'witch hunting', one person has been killed in suspicion of being a witch.

People beat the victim to death at Kherbari of Biswanath district in the Assam-Arunachal border. The victim has been identified as Khelan Sengnar.

The incident has created a tensed situation in the Kherbari area.

The police had started their investigation, after the body was recovered.

According to reports, a priest had informed the people of Sengar being a witch.
